(This article is from www.CNN.com) Somwhere around 5,000 protesters refused to evacuate the city of Bangkok in defiance of a government deadline to evacuate the area on another day of violent unrest in the Thai capital. At least 35 people have died since Thursday, including a key anti-government leader who was critically wounded by a sniper’s bullet last week. Maj. Gen. Khattiya Sawasdipol (a renegade general better known as Seh Daeng, which means Red Commander) died at 9:20 a.m. Monday (10:20 p.m. Sunday ET), Vachira Hospital officials told CNN. An airplane circling the demonstration area and a televised warning broadcast multiple times Monday ordered protesters to vacate the streets immediately. It said those who did not leave by 3 p.m. would face a maximum sentence of two year’s imprisonment. But government officials have not said what they plan to do now that the deadline has passed. Thousands of anti-government protesters, known as “Red Shirts,” have occupied areas of downtown Bangkok for weeks, calling for Thailand’s Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to call new elections. The Red Shirts support former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted in a 2006 bloodless military coup.

Nearly 400 years ago the globe theater burned down during a showing of Shakespeare’s Henry VIII it hasn’t been put on since, until now. Here is the tale of the original fire; A cannon fired as a special effect during a production of Henry VIII in June 1613 ignited the Globe’s thatched roof and razed the playhouse to the ground. This time there is a 21st Century sprinkler system in place to combat any similar mishaps.

World of Warcraft maker Blizzard is aiming to make its games more social by integrating them with Facebook.

The merging will involve Blizzard’s Battle.net online gaming service which many use to stay in touch with friends they play with or against.

The long-awaited Starcraft II will be the first Blizzard game to have the Facebook features built-in.

Players of the Starcraft II beta will be able to add people they play against on Battle.net as friends on Facebook.
